Carrie Bradshaw.

Before Sex and the City, Carrie Bradshaw was a small town girl who knew she wanted more. She’s ready for real life to start, but first she must navigate her senior year of high school. While she has had some boyfriends in the past, she has never really been in love before. She falls in love with Sebastian Kydd when he returns for their senior year in high school.

Carrie is an aspiring writer. She applied to a summer writing program in New York City but receives the rejection letter right before she starts her senior year. She is somewhat of a fashionista. She enjoys putting together her own eccentric outfits that make a fashion statement.
Carrie is also the oldest child in her family. She has two younger sisters. The girls live with their father because their mother died about four years earlier of a disease.

A little bit about the author. 

Candace Bushnell (born December 1, 1958) is an American novelist and television producer. She wrote a column for The New York Observer (1994–96) that was adapted into the bestselling Sex and the City anthology. The book was the basis for the HBO hit series Sex and the City (1998–2004) and two subsequent movies.

Bushnell followed the best-selling work with the international bestselling novels 4 Blondes (2001), Trading Up (2003), Lipstick Jungle (2005), One Fifth Avenue (2008), The Carrie Diaries (2010) and Summer and the City(2011). Two of her novels have been adapted for television: Lipstick Jungle (2008–09) on NBC, and The Carrie Diaries (since 2013) on The CW. One Fifth Avenue has been optioned by the Mark Gordon Company andABC for yet another television show.

About my choice.

Hello. Today I'm going to write about the book that was chosen to be read. The book is The Carrie Diaries.
 There are no some special  reasons for such choice, it was random. But I`ve watched some TV series of  "Sex in The City" and I really like the main character Carrie Bradshaw, and this book about teenage Carrie and about her life before her story in New York.
